Eric joins the IVONA text-to-speech family of voices	12.02.2009

IVO Software has launched Eric, a new American English voice, thereby extending its range of products based on the IVONA text-to-speech system. The person who has lent his voice to Eric comes from Hollywood, and experts describe his way of speaking as “CNN style”.

Thousands of sentences uttered by the Hollywood voice talent were recorded in order to develop the Eric's voice. Each sound has been attributed dozens of parameters recognized by our text-to-speech system generating natural speech in a fraction of a second. The effect is amazing. It is hard to believe that it is a computer application talking to you and not a living person.
